BMH Birthing Center Tours

One of the best ways to take some of the mystery out of your birthing experience is to visit our Birthing Center. Learn what to expect and meet some of our wonderful staff. Tours are offered at no charge the 1st and 3rd Monday evenings of every month from 7 to 8:30 p.m. No reservations are required. You have just heard the words “You have breast cancer.” Now…what should you do?

A diagnosis of breast cancer calls for sudden decision-making, learning an overwhelming amount of new information at a rapid rate, and unfamiliar medical language. But few people can think clearly when experiencing strong emotions like anxiety, anger, or fear from an unwanted diagnosis.

However, the time surrounding a new diagnosis is exactly when a person wants to be their sharpest and most focused, and we want to help you achieve that sense of control and support.

This special support group…

Provides compassionate listening
Empowers breast cancer patients to take charge
Offers emotional support
Provides timely education about treatment for breast cancer

LifeFit Wellness Center Cardiovascular Screenings

The $30 cardiovascular screening includes an ankle brachial index (PVD – peripheral vascular disease screening), a lipid panel that checks LDL and HDL cholesterol, triglycerides, blood glucose, and blood pressure. Each participant will receive a report card with current results listed next to goals based on guidelines from the American Heart Association; the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute; the American College of Cardiology; and the National Cholesterol Education Program.
